wedding invitations

No I have not dropped off the face of the earth I have just been super busy with absolutely nothing really!  The days pass and then a week and you havent managed any me time yet but hey im a parent so thats life!
Anyway here is what I made yesterday.  A friend asked me to do her wedding invites or at least help her to do them.  The theme is tibetan silver hearts, white card, grey satin ribbon and distressed edges. SO off I went and this is what I came up with......a pockelope which saves on envelopes and a memory box for her to keep her first invite in as a keep sake.
She was delighted ......................so everyone is hhapppppyyyy!!!
this is the outside of the pockelope made from A3 card.  I used the zutter page cutter in cutie pink and cut the sheet lengthwise.  Then I used my scor pal to score in 2 inches from top and up 2 inches from the bottom. The top one would provide flap to create envelope look on outside edge and the bottom one was taped  up to make a pocket for the RSVP card.  Then the remaining 12 inch section was folded almost in half.  I say almost I folded it over and left a small  1/8inch gap at the top edge so I could fold the card over without it bulging in the centre.

I run my tape pen along a piece of grey satin ribbon to make it sticky and attached a small tibetan silver heart on a jump ring and that decorated the front quite simply but elegantly.  Then I made a 5 inch square card insert with the details on it. I stuck it inside by running it through the xyron to make it sticky on the back and simply laid it in place and pressed it down.  The RSVP is just a strip of card with details on it to be placed in the pocket.  They were all distressed around the edges using a versamagic dew drop ink pad.  Just enough ink to taint the edges and take that plain white card look away from it.  I used the round it all in pink (1/2 inch) to round all the corner to soften them and that is it.  Phew she says but hey everyone liked it and the bride is happy so job done!  Well one down 220 to go wahey!
