birthday invitations for the wild child who is 3

Well today the lull is well and truly over.  My daughter and I have spent the day making birthday invitations for my youngest son who is going to be 3.  Adam is our little bundle of mischief.

So here is what we came up with for a birthday invitation.  We call him Mr trouble so these stamps just summed him up in a nutshell.  The little boy stamp is a front a back designed to go together and are made by Art Impressions in Oregon USA.  The stamp number is Q1524_back and Q1524_front for anyone who is interested :o).  The Trouble stamp is a SMIRK design.  We coloured the cute little guys with Promarkers, my daughter draws manga characters and so she already had all the flesh and skin tones and a few vibrant colours for clothes etc.  I buy all our Promarkers from Cowling and Wilcox the art shop in Shore Ditch in London.  There is nothing I like better than a good rummage around an art shop when I go to London (and C & W have 3) but they also have a website and my laptop knows its own way to the site ahaha (http://www.cowlingandwilcox.com/). The inks I used were a black versamark and a teal anna griffin pad that came in a kit I bought some time ago on a 'shopping channel'.  The teal one was still in the wrapper shame on me!
Anyway hope you like what we have done, we made 55 of them today, quite the little production line going even if I do say so myself.

This is the front.  The top section is the fold as it is a pockelope design.  The lower half is tucked under and holds the party details on its reverse side.
This is the back of the invitation and really the stamp was ideal so that it wasnt left completely blank and so a bit bare.  I used the Tim Holtz ink smudging sponge to tease a bit of the teal ink onto the back of this so that there was a hint of the same blue ink that says Trouble.

Ok its late (0119hrsGMT) and Im off to bed, happy but tired.  Job Done woohoo!
