origami rose made from florist ribbon on a place card - WEDDING

Here are the place cards I made the origami roses for.  I made 120 in silver and white and attached them using hot glue to the place cards I cut using my zutter page cutter.  I cut each sheet of a4 linen card in 3 using second row of bladeson page cutter then put every 3rd back through the first row of blades. So I got 6 place cards from every sheet of A4 linen card.  Then I used my zutter pink half inch corner chomper and softened the corners.   Finally I used a silver pigment ink pad to colour the edges of the card.

wedding table centrepieces -one down FOURTEEN to go :op

The wedding I have been making invitations for is looming ever closer and now I am at the stage of making the table centres.  Today I made the first one and I am pretty pleased with how it turned out.  To be honest I had to make each individual flower separately so there is a lot of work in preparation and only about two hours building the cone and hotgluing on the flowers.  The flowers took three days to prepare.  Full 8 hours shifts as well, Oh my goodness I have alot of flower making ahead to complete these.

I also made 120 origami flowers and stuck them to the place cards.  The bride saw this idea in a wedding magazine and it was priced at £150 each, and place cards £5 each.  I made them for a lot less!  She was delighted with the result but even more delighted that we created this look for such a huge saving.
A good day all round!
